Akatab - Webfont Example
This is an example using the font in a web page. The page demonstrates how to use the woff2 version of Akatab for web pages, using local copies of the .woff2 files in this archive. For more information on this technique - and how to use the normal TrueType version as a web font - see Using SIL Fonts on Web Pages.
The body of this document is styled using an external stylesheet, with Akatab set as the default font, and loaded directly as a woff2 file using the @font-face rule. To see specifically how these techniques are specified in the CSS and HTML, view the source to this page and the accompanying CSS file.
The following sections demonstrate how features in Akatab can be implemented in a web page.

Akatab right-to-left example
The following text demonstrates Tifinagh left-to-right behaviour: ⵙⵏⵜⵜ ⵜⵙⴾⵍⵏ ⵓⵔ ⵜⴶⵂⵏⵜ ⵎⵉ
The following text demonstrates Tifinagh right-to-left behaviour: ⵙⵏⵜⵜ ⵜⵙⴾⵍⵏ ⵓⵔ ⵜⴶⵂⵏⵜ ⵎⵉ
To get right-to-left behaviour and then reverse the direction, the user can use two invisible formatting characters to change the direction of the characters and the text as follows:
- U+202E (RIGHT-TO-LEFT OVERRIDE) for right-to-left Tifinagh
The text that follows will be right-to-left. Additionally, the directionality of characters is changed to right-to-left. - U+202C (POP DIRECTIONAL FORMATTING) to revert direction for Tifinagh text
The text that follows reverts to the direction of the text before the previous U+202E character.
